Prague, March 2022

After 2 years of repeated lockdowns, cancelled holidays, cancelled weddings and cancelled flights, I finally got the chance to get on board an airplane and travel back to one of my favourite cities…Prague! Home, of great beer, Goulash, Dumplings, amazing architecture, cobblelock and breathtaking scenery. This time we decided to stay in the Castle side of the city and it really was amazing. We were literally at the steps of the Castle. However, If you’ve never been to Prague, beware of how hilly it can be. Our location at Neruda wasn’t suited for many. Our Hotel was situated at the top of one of the steepest hills in Prague and of you’re not willing to use the Czech Public Transport system, it may be worth your while to stay down in the New Town.

As a friend of mine always asks…The highlight?…The unexpected Snowfall on our second day there. It was fabulous. And the lowlight?… Travelling to Kútna Hora outside of Prague. The Bone Cathedral that really isn’t a Cathedral, is in the Bog Hole of no-where and is absolutely tiny.

Here’s a little taste of the trip
