Malahide Castle - Jan ‘21

Another day, another lockdown. Even though everyday is starting to feel like groundhog day, it’s important to try stay active and get out and about. Today we visited Malahide Castle and Grounds on our way home from work. The grounds were pretty busy so we kept our masks on the whole time we were there. I’m actually surprised at the amount of people that don’t wear masks whilst out walking. Very frustrating. But anyway, lets not get into that!

Malahide Castle is really a beautiful spot, rich in greenery, birds and wildlife. Around the Park there are several hidden and abandoned cottages that I just love to explore and photograph. However, remember though if you do decide to go off the beaten track - remember to wear good think boots or wellies as the place is a swamp at the moment.

I wasn’t too sure what I wanted to photograph, so I mainly used my macro lens to purposely practice my skills. It’s a never ending journey when it comes to Macro. Breathing skills, Angle Skills and composition! It’s something that I never actually though I would enjoy, but I absolutely adore it. I recommend everyone to try it at least once, and trust me…you’ll be hooked!!
